Biography
I was born in Fukuoka, Japan in 1976. After graduating from Shonan High School in 1995, I entered the AoyamaGakuin University in Tokyo, Japan and received my B.A. degree from the Department of International Economics in 2000. My advisor was Prof. Yujiro Hayami. From September, 1998 to June 1999, I studied at Department of Economics, University of Washington, Seattle, WA, USA as an exchange student. I received my first M.A. degree from the Department of Economics at the Kobe Unviersity in Kobe, Japan in 2002, and the second M.A. degree from Department of Economics, The Ohio State University. I received my Ph.D degree in Summer 2007 from Department of Agricultural, Environmental and Development Economics, The Ohio State University. During 2001-2006, I was a Graduate Research Associate under the supervision of Professor Timothy Haab and Professor Elena Irwin. I also worked with Professor Neel Hooker during my first year at AEDE.
I am currently an Instructor at the Department of Economics at Hacettepe University in Ankara, Turkey.
I got married to Selim in 2006. Ediz and Kerem joined us in 2010.
